While Michael Noonan is poised to knock Mr O’Dea off his perch as the designated poll topper in Limerick City for the first time in 20 years the polls also show that Willie O’Dea’s nemesis, Maurice Quinlivan, is remaining at the bottom of the Limerick battleground as the Sinn Féin train appears to slow.An online poll carried out by the Limerick Post earlier this week reflects voters’ anger, with a big volume of support for Sinn Féin at local level and a worryingly low tally for Fianna Fáil.However, the current support for Sinn Féin is most unlikely to be reflected on polling day as the party is doing well nationally but not near the same level as our poll suggests.
